Darby Library

The Volunteer Examiners are once again coming to Darby. The photo above is the last graduating class. You can be part of the next one.

Doors will open early at the Library for this. Set up is at 8:30am Saturday morning. Testing begins by 9:00am. Tests only take about a half hour. Results take 5 or 10 minutes after you turn your answer sheet in.

Testing costs $15, including your license if you pass.

You must have your official photo identification.
Those with current licenses testing for upgrades must bring their existing license.

Also included is a free shot at the next level for those passing their lower level class. Thus you can come test for the Technician, pass that and with no further charges, test for your General license immediately after.

The Amateur Radio Relay League has training and practice tests at their website ARRL.org

The local Bitterroot Amateur Radio Club is the prime organization in the area with experts, training and more.

Here is a good opportunity to join the community of people who are prepared to communicate when all else fails.
