on the third day of Christmas

I became aware of the pattern today. So I may be stretching just a bit, but, hey, it’s my blog. I can do that if I want.

snow-tire-mount-6xThe weather is threatening to cover the roads between here and where Missy works tomorrow morning with snow and/or ice. Studded snow tires make a HUGE DIFFERENCE in safety and MY piece of mind when she has to drive in heavy traffic … or at all, for that matter.

So I gave me a swap onto winter tires for the pickup SHE is driving to work. The centers are a bit worn on the rears, so they are now slightly under-inflated to make the superior outer-parts of the tread maximize the traction.

Of course I can’t jack the truck up and pull wheels off without doing a lube job and inspection. Looking good.

rainx-6xAnd with the truck in the shop, clean, dry and with decent lighting, it seemed like a fine time to Rain-X her windshield. If you have never tried this stuff, you ought to. Rain sheets off for weeks after an application. Rain-X without wipers running provides a clearer view than the best wipers on the market today. Seeing is safety – not to mention peace of mind.

…..

guitar-strap-6xWhile I was wrenching on the pickup, Missy took the scooter (’91 Honda CRX) to town. Among her errands, she went to The Guitar Center. The online lessons told me I needed to use one to help provide a consistent postion so muscle memory could help me play the bass.

Thus, on the third day of Christmas, my true love gave to me a bass guitar strap.
